Visit the historical heart of the country in Central Portugal. This unique visit takes you to the regions historical towns such as the pilgrimage town of Fatima, Coimbra and Obidos. You will also visit the wild Atlantic town of Nazaré.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Lisbon
Upon arriving in Lisbon, you will be met and taken to your hotel in Central Portugal. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore at your leisure.

Day 2: Fatima
Discover the traditions and cultural gems of three authentic towns in Central Portugal on your amazing full-day experience. You will start in Óbidos, an unbelievably pretty medieval town and home to Ginjinha, the traditional cherry liquor. Wander the winding cobbled streets of this walled village where you will find small handicraft shops and of course have an opportunity to try a Ginjinha.
Next, you will visit the Catholic pilgrimage town of Fátima, famous for the apparitions of the Virgin Mary that appeared back in 1917. You will then continue onto the charming seaside town of Nazaré with its big surfing waves & UNESCO heritage monuments.

Day 3: Fatima
Today, enjoy the day at your leisure. Either relax by the pool or spend your time exploring the nearby Parque Natural das Serras de Aire e Candeeiros.

Day 4: Fatima
Join your local guide for a full day of touring. Start your experience with a visit to the historic town of Coimbra and the Santa Cruz Church. Admire this important national pantheon and see the 3 different architectural styles of the building.
You will then continue on to the old walled city, where your guide will highlight the differences between the old and new cathedrals. Heading uptown you will walk through the streets that divide the University buildings.
If you select the option including university entry you will have the opportunity to visit the inside of the University of Coimbra. Here you can admire the great Joanina Library, the Royal Palace, St. Michel Chapel, the University Palace of Schools, the cloisters, and the university shop.

Day 5: Depart Lisbon
Leaving your hotel in Central Portugal you will be transferred to Lisbon airport for your return flight home.
