Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Porto
Upon arriving in Porto, you will be met and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore at your leisure.
Suggested Overnight Hotel: Pestana Palácio do Freixo
Day 2: Porto
Today you will enjoy a walk through the most interesting places in the historical city of Porto. Your 3 hour guided tour will be led by a local guide, a native of the city. You will start your journey by visiting two of the most beautiful churches in the city, the Carmo and Carmelitas churches. See the bell tower of Clérigos Church, Porto Cathedral and São Bento Railway Station, some of the most interesting local monuments.
The beauty of today is that as well as the main sights, this tour will also take you to some breathtaking sights away from the large tour groups in places that buses can’t access. Your guide will tell you about the politics, religion, local customs, traditions, gastronomy, wines, and everything else you need to know about Porto’s local customs. You will also enjoy a tasting of Portugal’s famous traditional pastry.

Day 3: The Douro Valley
After breakfast, you will be met by your driver for your private transfer to your hotel in the Douro Valley.
The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

Day 4: The Douro Valley
Today you will explore the Douro Valley on a unique kayaking experience, the perfect combination of activities for nature lovers wanting to explore the natural beauty of the Douro Valley.
As well as the wine and the vineyards you will see some amazing landscapes which are a part of Unesco World Heritage. You will be collected from your hotel in Porto in a 4×4 and taken to the Douro Valley, where you start with a relaxed kayaking activity, with enough time for relaxing and swimming. You will then enjoy a picnic surrounded by an incredible vineyard landscape.
During the afternoon you will hike along the vines to see, touch and smell what makes this region so special. Your day will finish off in style, at a viewpoint in São Leonardo de Galafura with the best views in the whole region!

Day 5: Depart Porto
Leaving your hotel in the Douro Valley you will be transferred to Porto airport for your return flight home.
