This tour takes travellers to the ‘Rice Bowl’ of Vietnam: The Mekong Delta. The delta is a vital source of rice cultivation, contributing significantly to Vietnam’s agricultural output. Beyond its agricultural role, the Mekong Delta plays a crucial role in the cultural and economic fabric of Vietnam.
The journey begins with a transfer from buzzing Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta for travellers to catch a river cruise. After boarding, guests are greeted with welcome drinks and begin cruising past beautiful vistas and verdant shorelines.
A cooking class gives participants the opportunity to make regional dishes and learn more about Vietnamese ingredients from the ship’s chefs. After a sunset refreshment on deck, the cruise will weigh anchor and dinner will be served onboard.
The next morning begins early with a visit to Cai Rang, a bustling floating market showcasing a variety of local produce, goods, and traders engaging in lively haggling over the morning’s offerings.
Returning to land, the group will stop at a local shop to explore the art of noodle making and then visit an ancient house to learn about the blend of cultures that influenced the architecture of this old building.
