On this exciting Jura Island Adventure, your day starts with a ferry journey from the Isle of Islay in the Inner Hebrides to the spectacular Isle of Jura. Alex, your driver and guide, will have you spellbound with his stories and vast local knowledge of both local history and culture.
First up, travel by luxury coach to the Craighouse, the largest settlement on Jura, learning all about the Clan MacDonald while enjoying spectacular scenery and wildlife.
This is followed by your tour of the Jura Distillery to learn all about the production process and of course to enjoy a couple of drams.
Then hit the water with a fantastic ‘Round The Bay’ trip with Robert, your fantastic local guide in his custom-built 11-metre rib. You will get to see the Atlantic seal colony up close and if you’re lucky, you may even enjoy a visit from the porpoises and dolphins that frequent the bay to feed and play.
Your delicious lunch is then served at the family-run Jura Hotel, accompanied by tea, coffee and incredible views. Afterwards, you will visit the Lussa Gin Distillery (if not distilling) and if time permits, Tea On The Beach for some light refreshments before Alex drops you back at the ferry for your journey back to Islay.
