Lau’s story
Lau’s passion for cacao farming began with a childhood gift of a chocolate bar from an American soldier in his Mekong village. Despite early struggles in the 1980s when many cacao farms failed, Mr Lau’s determination never wavered. His dedication turned him into a leading figure in cacao farming, earning him an award in Paris for top cacao fermenters.
Visitors to Mr Lau’s farm will learn about his inspiring journey, experience the cacao cultivation process, and see how he transforms cacao beans into award-winning products. They will have the opportunity to shell cacao pods, understand the fermentation and drying processes, and appreciate the rich history of his farm.
