Meet your local guide in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to the Mekong Delta in the south of Vietnam. On arrival, head to one of the fertile orchards within the Delta, where you will learn about the fruit grown here as well as having the opportunity to pick your own fruit, ranging from Lo Ren star apples, grapefruit, durian and coconuts to name a few.
Next, enjoy a delicious drink made from the fruits of the orchard. Continue to visit a local floating village, home to fish farms, cultivating catfish, hawkfish and shrimp.
Later, tables will be set out for you in the Delta where you will enjoy a lunch of locally sourced produce, including the fruits and fish you saw previously in the day. Listen as your guide describes the dishes while local traditional Vietnamese music is performed live in the background. After lunch, enjoy some time to admire the scenery of the Mekong further before returning to Ho Chi Minh.
