1, Savour Street Food in Hanoi
Trying street food in Hanoi’s charming Old Quarter is a must! Join a private tour that will lead you through the diverse dishes, explaining the ingredients and showing you the best way to enjoy each bite. Hanoi’s Old Quarter is a bustling maze of alleyways and streets showcasing an array of foods. Sample iconic dishes such as: pho, Vietnam’s famous noodle soup, bun cha, a noodle dish with charcoal-grilled pork, and deep-fried spring rolls. Also make sure to try a refreshing sugar cane juice and a Vietnamese egg coffee. Finish off the evening with a Bia Hoi, locally brewed beer, or a local dessert such as mango with coconut ice cream.
2, Take a Scenic Seaplane Flight over Halong Bay
Halong Bay, known for its stunning landscape of limestone karsts jutting out of the water, is so beautiful it has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Now imagine getting to take in the site from a bird’s eye view on a scenic seaplane flight! Plus, add the thrill of landing right on the bay and it’s easy to see why this adventure is not to be missed.
3, Try the Original Egg Coffee
Because egg coffee is uniquely Vietnamese, every tourist tries it at least once in Vietnam. With our Local Legend Mr. Khoa, you can visit the café where the drink originated and hear first-hand the history of egg coffee from the family of the man who invented it! Mr. Khoa’s Café is a beloved spot, 130 years old with its original tables and chairs. Enjoy an egg coffee here to learn about Hanoi’s rich traditions and take a moment to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
4, Discover the Ky Anh Tunnels
Located just an hour from Hoi An, the Ky Anh Tunnels are smaller than the famous Cu Chi Tunnels but without the crowds. Built in secret under Tam Thang Commune, the Ky Anh Tunnels span 32 kilometres and served as a shelter, logistics, and military command base for nearly 1,000 soldiers between 1964 to 1975. Meet our Local Legend, Mr. Ta, who holds the keys to the tunnels and also helped dig them as a teenager in 1964. He’ll guide you to a 300-year-old communal house, the starting point of the tour, and will tell you the tunnel’s stories as well as about his own experience scouting during the war as you traverse the underground passageways.
5, Take in Hoi An Via Sidecar
Soak up Hoi An’s stunning countryside and charming streets aboard a vintage sidecar. With an experienced guide taking care of the driving, you can sit back and enjoy the Vietnamese experience of whizzing around on a motorbike all while sitting back and taking in the sights or capturing photos of the well-preserved architecture, bustling streets, verdant rice paddies, and picturesque waterways of Hoi An.
