Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Porto
Upon arriving in Porto, you will be met and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore at your leisure.
Suggested Overnight Hotel: 1872 River House
Day 2: Porto
Today you will enjoy a walk through the most interesting places in the historical city of Porto. Your 3 hour guided tour will be led by a local guide, a native of the city.
You will start your journey by visiting two of the most beautiful churches in the city, the Carmo and Carmelitas churches. See the bell tower of Clérigos Church, Porto Cathedral and São Bento Railway Station, some of the most interesting local monuments.
The beauty of today is that as well as the main sights, this tour will also take you to some breathtaking sights away from the large tour groups in places that buses can’t access. Your guide will tell you about the politics, religion, local customs, traditions, gastronomy, wines, and everything else you need to know about Porto’s local customs. You will also enjoy a tasting of Portugal’s famous traditional pastry.

Day 3: Geres National Park
After breakfast, you will be met by your driver for your private transfer to your hotel in the Geres National Park.
The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

Day 4: Geres National Park
Today you will embark on your kayaking and hiking experience which will show you all the diversity the Geres National Park has to offer in one single day. It is a tour for water lovers and nature addicts. You will kayak, hike and swim in the most beautiful spots of the national park.
First off you will be collected from your Porto hotel and taken to the park to kayak in the Caniçada Lake, surrounded by stunning mountain landscapes. The kayaking is easy and suitable for all levels and will give you a completely different perspective of Gerês. After the kayaking, you will enjoy a traditional Portuguese meal with wine in a local restaurant followed by a hike to some of the most beautiful hidden waterfalls and lagoons in Gerês National Park.
After a wonderful day in these stunning natural surrounds, you will return to your Porto hotel.

Day 5: Depart Porto
Leaving your hotel in the Geres National Park you will be transferred to Porto airport for your return flight home.
