A warm climate means Portugal is truly a year-round destination, even through the winter months.
Portugal is a country full of life and soul. Magical sights and sounds run riot amongst a backdrop of good food, wine, beaches and rugged coastline. A country that is colourful, vibrant and passionate.
That’s Portugal.
Alentejo
Portugal is not simply the Algarve, whilst the beaches are beautiful, let us introduce you to equally charming and lesser-known regions. Experiences that will truly immerse you, spending an afternoon in an award-winning vineyard in the stunning Alentejo region of Portugal surrounded by rustic scenery dotted with olive groves. Watching the sunset whilst enjoying a drop of the local grape. Hiking to castles and medieval towns full of local legend and mystery.
Lisbon
The capital city of Portugal, Lisbon, is a breath-taking combination of fascinating attractions, strong heritage and a deeply embedded history.
There is something for everyone here, with culture, vibrant nightlife, tempting restaurants plus wonderful beaches to rival the best in the country within a stone’s throw. As well as a mecca for those wanting some buzzing city life, Lisbon can easily be used as a base for a beach holiday.
Porto
Porto is Portugal’s second city, Lisbon’s laidback cousin. An exceedingly pretty old town forms Porto’s magnificent backdrop.
This is a place steeped in charm, somewhere to while away the hours over a long lunch in one of the staggeringly good backstreet restaurants. JK Rowling even found some early inspiration when creating Harry Potter here and from wondering the streets it’s easy to see why.
Naturally, it would be rude to visit Porto without sampling its more famous export, a glass of the local Port while the sun sets. A Portuguese gem not to be overlooked.
